SYNAPSE & COVID-19

At Synapse, we understand how our individual health and wellness impacts the health of our communities. To make sure we are doing our part for the health of our community we have followed AHS guidelines and implemented practices to minimize the risk of infection and transmission among those entering our facility.

1. As of September 20, we have Implemented Alberta's Restrictions Exemption Program requiring proof of vaccination or negative test result, plus mandatory masking, to continue operating as usual. 

2. We encourage all staff and clients to stay up to date with developments regarding COVID-19. Synapse Health & Fitness will do our best to share all relevant information regarding COVID-19 with staff and clients.

3. We have and will continue to share changes in our policies and procedures to reduce and prevent the risk of transmission.

4. All staff and clients are encouraged to:

  • Practice physical distancing

  • Practice good hygiene

  • Monitor for symptoms (Cough, fever, shortness of breath, runny nose, sore throat)

  • Get tested and take the COVID-19 self assessment

POLICIES & PROCEDURES

Masks

  • Masks must be worn upon entering the facility

  • Although masks are not required during appointments, we encourage clients to wear masks for their appointments

  • Face protection must be worn at all times by our staff

  • We have provided a box of masks for clients and staff to wear inside the facility

Booking Appointments

  • Walk-in service is not availableAll clients are encouraged to book their appointments through their practitioner

  • If you are unable to contact or do not currently have a trainer, you can reach the facility by phone at (403) 816-6093

  • We are offering booking blocks to ensure your comfort:

    • 6 AM - 12 PM will allow for 3 sessions/hour​

    • 12 PM - 3 PM will allow for 2 sessions/hour

    • 3 PM - 7 PM will allow for 3 sessions/hour

    • 7 PM - CLOSE will allow for 2 sessions/hour

  • Appointment cancellations will be conducted on a case by case basis

The Facility

  • We ask that our clients come unaccompanied to the facility and show up at their appointment time. Please wait in your car and do not enter the facility before your scheduled appointment.

  • When entering the facility, please stay in the entryway until greeted by your trainer. All members must complete the COVID-19 screening questionnaire and sanitizing checkpoint upon entering the facility.

  • To prevent walk-ins, we will be restricting access through the front door during your sessions.

  • Sessions will be limited to 55 minutes in order to accommodate cleaning and other clients entering and leaving the building. You will not be able to warm-up or cool-down outside of your session time.

  • To prevent high-traffic scenarios, we have spaced out equipment and have limited sessions  in designated time slots

  • All equipment should be wiped down before and after use
