Chad Halford

Owner, Medical Exercise Specialist, Personal Trainer

I graduated from Mount Royal College in 2005 with my Personal Training Certification. Following my formal education, I continued obtaining certifications in sport conditioning to work with athletes. During my early years in a big box facility, I noticed that there was a big problem with the fitness industry- it wasn’t designed to actually help people. With a change in focus, I began to explore the world of pain management, rehabilitation and functional movement.

Through certifications with the C.H.E.K. Institute, Athletic Movement Assessments, Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization, and receiving my designation as a Medical Exercise Specialist, I began helping people with chronic pain issues and managing multiple medical conditions. Along with my former business partner, Ian Murphy, we dreamed up the idea of Synapse in the spring of 2013 to create a facility that had the ability to help people without membership fees, contracts, and minimum purchases. In March of 2018 we opened the doors to Synapse for the first time.

Since opening Synapse, I re-connected with former colleague Dr. Melissa Campbell from the Georgia Chiropractic Neurology Center. I had  had the unique opportunity to spend a week in Marietta, Georgia where I got to witness the amazing work of Dr. Marc Ellis and Dr. Campbell, where I learned about brain and body rehabilitation.
