After sustaining a spinal compression fracture I was in regular discomfort and reduced mobility. Rachelle and Synapse has significantly improved my life, helping me improve my strength and mobility so I can take on life again!

This is hands down the BEST fitness place EVER. Highly knowledgeable and professional staff, who provide individual attention and make sure you do the exercises correctly, so you don't get hurt. A variety of classes. And everyone is so friendly and supportive, making you feel welcome. I love going to my workouts!

We came to Chad with many years of overuse injuries and general aches and pains. Very quickly I was able to build the required strength to overcome those injuries making running, biking and LIFE that much more enjoyable. The workouts have made me stronger and fitter and they are also a whole lot of fun! Highly recommend!!

Tania is the best thing to happen to me. I workout with my daughter and she makes sure I do similar exercises keeping me safe from injury. It's really encouraging to see older people working and trying to make their life better with what they have. All ages, all shapes and sizes. The facility is so clean and everyone is very nice. I highly recommend Tania and Synapse.

Rachelle is amazing! She guides me, encourages me, and adjusts the exercises if I have issues completing them. After 8 weeks, I can see the results!!

Synapse is a unique gym experience. It’s like a family and everyone has your best interests at heart. Sam is my trainer and friend and she has been taking such good care of me for years!
Come and check it out, it’s totally worth your time!!

Attending after a serious but non-surgical lower back injury, referred to try as they offer a movement assessment. Individualized plans, attention to detail, flexible scheduling. Non-judgemental staff meet you where you’re at functionally and are collaborative in making/meeting goals. Longest relationship I’ve had with physical/exercise trainers. Knowledgeable and kind.

Aaron does a great job with assessing your strengths and weaknesses then works with the client to achieve agreed upon goals and helps with sport specific requirements. Extremely good at helping client with recovery from any injuries or problems with alignment, stability or flexibility! Really nice guy and cares about your progress.

I have been working with Chad and his team for about six months and they have greatly improved the mobility of my left shoulder that I had dislocated twenty years ago as well I am learning how to walk properly on two knees that were replaced nine years ago. I never understood how much I was compensating for these injuries. It has been amazing.

I have been training with Chad for close to ten years. I've seen other personal trainers in the past and can say that Chad is definitely one of the most knowledgable and creative personal trainers I've had. Chad has always been able to confidently correct any issues I am experiencing using a variety of exercises. Whether you want personal or group training he is your guy. Highly recommended!

I have been training at Synapse for just over a month and have been very impressed with the expertise & knowledge that he has shared. The experience at Synapse feels so much different than at a fitness club or gym. If feel that I get more specialized & individualized exercise instruction with Chad's undivided attention in more of an exercise studio atmosphere. The sessions are 1 hr. long & once he is certain I can execute the exercises correctly, he prints out my exercise workout for me to follow at home. I love the flexibility to book sessions as I like & pay as I go - no 'contracts'. Thank you Chad for my better posture and my renewed commitment to my health & fitness!!

I found this facility by accident. I went in, tried it and have been coming for over a year now. The staff are great, helpful and very friendly. The whole facility including the changing and shower rooms are spotless clean. Good work out facility for seniors too.

Synapse is fabulous! The facility is super cool, well laid out, and has great equipment for rehab, personal and group training. The new acupuncture, massage and athletic therapy practitioners are an added bonus! I’ve been seeing Chad for 2 1/2 years, have learned a ton, am in less pain and stronger. Highly recommend!

I have been at Synapse since it opened. The trainers, massage therapist, athletic therapists are all first rate. They recently started doing group classes and I throughly enjoy them. I have worked with Chad, the owner, for many years. He has helped me improve my strength and balance. His knowledge as well as the other trainers is beyond most gyms. If you need to rehab from surgery or an injury they will help. My husband started here when he retired from his job downtown. He has had major issues with his hips and knees. What he can do now from where he started is night and day! This is thanks to Sue and Tania. He has just started taking Kin stretch classes with Sam who has also helped him. I can’t say enough about Synapse and the staff.

As an active older man I needed to add flexibility to my workout. Chad suggested I try Kinstretch with Sam. It has been amazing! I’ve been going to Sam’s classes on Tuesday mornings for a month now and I find it’s opened my joints and muscles and made me feel looser and so much better. I’m hoping I can find the time in the near future to start her Thursday classes also.
Sam has been great and accommodating to her students and able to modify the exercises as needed for individuals with physical problems.
Synapse has a calm and pleasant atmosphere.
I have to give a five star rating

Three years ago, I began personal training two days a week with Sue and Tania shortly after Synapse opened. Membership in a club was never a problem for me but attendance was an issue. I was never motivated to work out by myself. My trainers have helped me build core strength and manage arthritis in my left knee and hip by keeping me active. My posture from years of working at a desk also needed improvement. Building incremental muscle mass has also helped me lose and manage my weight. The atmosphere is very comfortable at Synapse and working out is fun. My training sessions are adjusted to address any new body challenges. I recently have added a couple of weekly group session TRX with Chad and Kin Stretch with Sam. I am amazed how much my health has improved working with this very knowledgeable and professional team.

I have dealt with recurrent shoulder and other ligament/joint injuries for my entire adult life. I have been to multiple different physiotherapists and have never found any lasting success or relief from injury.
I have now been going to Synapse for the past year and it has truly been life changing. I have never felt better! It has been incredible to not be regularly dealing with injuries that have prevented me in the past from skiing, biking, golf, and other activities. I had become accustomed to shoulder pain and reduced range of motion with regular day to day activities. I'm now pain free and feel better than I have in over 20 years.
I've been so impressed with the extensive knowledge of anatomy and kinesiology at Synapse. I'm a doctor and I feel like I should be referring every one of my patients to Synapse. I can't recommend it highly enough!

My last training session with Sue Williams at Synapse was pretty amazing. I have been training with Sue since Synapse opened and many years prior at another gym. At 70, I feel in better physical condition than when I was younger thanks to Sue’s expertise as a trainer, rehab specialist and athletic therapist. After most sessions I ponder what just happened in the last hour. At the beginning of each session, Sue does an informal assessment of my mobility and occasional SI joint issues from a motorcycle accident 17 years ago. Then she modifies whatever exercises she had planned to address and correct those issues to achieve results. Sometimes she’ll say: “Stop. Now let think about this. This is how I want you to do this exercise”. Honestly, many times this is over my head but I ask many questions and learn a lot about how my shoulders, hips and back work together. Because of her laser focus, my form often gets corrected several times in a set of 10 reps (a good thing), which is a testament to how much she cares and the value she brings to her clients. And on top of all that, training with Sue is a lot of fun.

I also participate in several group classes a week, like TRX and the Athlete Camp led by Chad. These classes are small and also emphasize the correct form for the exercises. I always look forward to the healthy social element and a more intense fitness experience.
